Sitting along Naples Bay in the historic Crayton Cove area, The Dock at Crayton Cove is one of my top choices for waterfront dining in Naples. The restaurant has been a local fixture since 1976, and its open-air dining room overlooking the marina gives you plenty of opportunities to watch boats come and go while you eat.
Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and I especially liked that The Dock feels relaxed without being overly casual. It’s a restaurant that works just as well for a leisurely lunch or Sunday brunch as it does for a waterfront dinner.

What We Ordered
We started with the Buffalo Grouper Bites, which were one of the highlights of our meal and a great introduction to the seafood-focused menu. Located inside the Tin City Waterfront Shops, Pinchers Crab Shack is one of my favorite choices when you want a casual waterfront restaurant in Naples without the upscale atmosphere or price tag. Its location right along the water also makes it easy to combine lunch or dinner with shopping and exploring Tin City.
Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and the laid-back atmosphere is a big part of the appeal. This isn’t where I’d go for a quiet romantic dinner, but it’s a fun choice for families, groups, or anyone craving seafood after spending the afternoon around downtown Naples.
As the name suggests, crab and seafood are the stars of the menu. You’ll find blue crab clusters, snow crab, crab cakes, oysters, peel-and-eat shrimp, grouper, mahi mahi, and several different shrimp preparations. What We Ordered
We definitely came hungry and tried a little bit of everything, starting with the Crab & Cheese Dip and Bang Bang Shrimp before digging into the Crab & Shrimp Boil. The boil was the highlight for us and is a great choice if you want the classic messy, hands-on seafood experience you expect from a casual Florida crab shack.
We somehow saved room for the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake, which was a rich way to finish the meal. Overall, we enjoyed Pinchers most for its combination of casual seafood, generous portions, and laid-back waterfront atmosphere rather than a fancy dining experience.

Tucked away along the Cocohatchee River in North Naples, The Bay House Restaurant is one of my top picks for a romantic waterfront dinner in Naples. The setting feels a little more secluded than many of the restaurants closer to downtown, with views of the river and surrounding mangroves adding to the atmosphere.
Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and this is definitely one of the restaurants I’d save for a date night or special occasion. The menu leans heavily toward seafood and upscale Southern-inspired dishes, while the Claw Bar offers oysters, crab, shrimp, and other raw-bar favorites.
What We Ordered
We started by splitting the smallest seafood tower, the Claw Bar Special, which came loaded with oysters, crab, shrimp, and several different dips. It was the perfect way to start our meal and gave us a chance to sample several types of seafood before moving on to our entrées.
For dinner, Chris ordered the Surf and Turf, while I chose the Paris Bistro Style Lobster and Frites. If you’re coming to The Bay House specifically for seafood, the lobster is exactly the type of indulgent entrée I’d recommend ordering for a special night out.
We finished with the Louisiana-style Beignets while sipping on a Chocolate Peanut Butter Martini. Between the seafood tower, entrées, dessert, and cocktails, this was one of those meals where the entire experience felt like part of the evening rather than simply somewhere to stop for dinner.

Located in The Village Shops on Venetian Bay, M Waterfront Grille combines an upscale atmosphere with beautiful views over Venetian Bay. While you can visit for lunch or dinner, Chris and I came for brunch, and I think that’s one of the best ways to experience this waterfront restaurant in Naples.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor waterfront seating, so you can enjoy the view even if you’d rather escape the Florida heat. If the weather is nice, however, I’d choose one of the outdoor tables along the bay.
What We Ordered
We started brunch with bottomless mimosas and bellinis along with the Crab and Shrimp Spring Rolls, which were an easy appetizer for us to share before our main dishes.
Chris ordered the M Egg Skillet, while I couldn’t resist the Chicken and French Toast. The combination of a leisurely brunch, drinks, and views over Venetian Bay made M Waterfront Grille feel like much more of an experience than simply stopping somewhere for breakfast.

The restaurant has been family-owned and operated for more than 25 years, with an outdoor Lido Deck overlooking the bay where you can watch boats pass while you eat.
Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and the location is really what makes The Boathouse stand out. It has the relaxed, nautical atmosphere you’d expect from a classic Florida waterfront restaurant, making it a good option when you want seafood and water views without a particularly formal dining experience.

What We Ordered

The restaurant overlooks Naples Bay but sets itself apart with globally inspired dishes, creative small plates, and a more modern fine-dining atmosphere.
Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and what I enjoyed most was being able to try several completely different flavors during the same meal. Nosh encourages sharing and sampling smaller plates, so I’d recommend coming with someone willing to order a few things for the table rather than sticking to just one entrée.
What We Ordered
We tried several dishes during our visit, starting with the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, made with fresh tuna, avocado, cucumber, and a tangy sesame dressing. It was a lighter, refreshing way to begin the meal before moving on to some of the richer dishes.
We also ordered the Miso Caramel Pork Belly Steam Buns, which brought a completely different combination of sweet and savory flavors to the table. The current version pairs the pork belly and miso caramel with kimchi cucumber, and this is exactly the type of globally inspired small plate that makes Nosh different from the other waterfront restaurants on this list.
Our Seared Hokkaido Scallops were another standout and a great choice if you want to take advantage of the restaurant’s seafood offerings without ordering a more traditional seafood platter.
Overall, Nosh was one of the more interesting meals we’ve had along the Naples waterfront. Instead of coming specifically for grouper, crab legs, or another Florida staple, I’d choose Nosh when I want to try several creative dishes and make the food itself the focus of the evening.

What We Ordered
We started by sharing the Crispy Calamari and Coconut Shrimp, which gave us two very different seafood appetizers to try before our entrées. The coconut shrimp was the sweeter option, while the calamari made for an easy appetizer to share with the table.
For our main courses, we ordered the Sea Scallops and the Shrimp and Crab Fettuccine. The scallops were a good choice for something more seafood-forward, while the pasta was richer and more filling, with shrimp and crab making it an especially indulgent waterfront dinner.
Overall, our meal felt very much like the classic Naples dining experience: plenty of seafood, a relaxed atmosphere, and Venetian Bay just outside the restaurant.

If enjoying the view is one of your priorities, I’d request outdoor or upper-deck seating when possible. The elevated outdoor dining area is one of Bayside’s biggest draws and gives you a beautiful perspective over Venetian Bay.

Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and I’d recommend Tavern on the Bay when you’re looking for somewhere relaxed to grab lunch, dinner, or drinks along the water. It’s especially good for groups where not everyone wants seafood.
What We Ordered
You have to try the Street Corn Nachos, which were easily one of our favorite things we ordered. They’re a fun appetizer to share, especially if you’re stopping by for drinks or watching a game.
We also tried the Cowboy Burger, featuring a juicy beef patty topped with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and Moonshine BBQ sauce. It’s rich, messy, and exactly the type of burger that fits Tavern on the Bay’s laid-back atmosphere.
After eating so much seafood at other restaurants around Naples, I actually liked having a waterfront option where we could switch things up with nachos and a good burger while still enjoying views of the bay.

Tavern on the Bay is located within Bayfront Place, making it easy to combine your meal with a walk around the colorful waterfront complex. Its location is also convenient if you’re staying around downtown Naples or spending the day exploring nearby Fifth Avenue South.
Sports are a big part of the atmosphere here, so keep that in mind when deciding when to visit. If there’s a major game on, expect a livelier experience than you’d find at restaurants like The Bay House or Nosh.
I’d choose Tavern on the Bay for a casual waterfront lunch, drinks with friends, or an easy dinner rather than a romantic night out. Sitting along the Back Bay, the restaurant combines water views with a casual, tropical atmosphere that feels completely different from Naples’ more upscale waterfront dining spots.
Chris and I have eaten here ourselves, and this is the kind of place I’d choose for a relaxed lunch or early dinner after spending the day around Bonita Beach or North Naples. Seafood dominates much of the menu, but you’ll also find burgers, sandwiches, chicken, and other options if everyone in your group isn’t craving fish.
What We Ordered
I’d recommend the Scallop Basket if you’re in the mood for straightforward, casual seafood. It’s exactly the type of meal that fits the relaxed waterfront setting and is a good alternative to the more elaborate seafood entrées found elsewhere on this list.
We also tried the Mango Bango Chicken Sandwich, which brings something completely different to the table and is a good pick for anyone who wants to skip seafood.
But don’t leave without dessert. We finished our meal with a slice of Coconut Jack’s famous Key Lime Pie, and I’d definitely recommend saving room for it. Few desserts feel more appropriate after a waterfront meal in Southwest Florida than a cold slice of Key lime pie.
