What To Bring When Traveling With Your Dog

While there are times when hotels will provide some supplies when traveling with our pets, most of the time they won’t have exactly what you need or anything at all.

It’s best to take what you need with you if you are able too. Having your dog’s favorites like their bed and toys will help adjust to their new surroundings.

But depending on your dog’s size, lugging around a big, fluffy dog bed, or a giant bag of kibble isn’t going to work, especially if your flying in.

Here are some things we recommend to make your trip a little easier!

We use this travel bag when our Shiba joins us on day trips. You can pack more then enough food, and still plenty of space for all those extras like a blanket, toys, medicine, and anything else you might needs. Also comes with two collapsible bowls.

Our Shiba can get pretty worked up with all the new sights and sounds (and smells!). These soft chew calming aid have been great at helping her stay calm.

These travel pet mats make great liners for Pop Up Crates or when an extra bed is needed.

Pee pads are life savers for when traveling with puppies, older or anxious dogs. And speaking accidents, as much as we love our furry friends, sometimes they can be…or leave behind…bad smells. A travel room spray does the trick for this. Also, make sure you have little baggies to help clean up after those messes.

Pop Up Crates are great for your dog that loves their kennel and you are unable to bring a large, bulky metal object with you. They come in various sizes, colors, and shapes.
